job detailsRandstad is proud to provide support to Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) in Defence, working within an integrated workforce of commercial and Procurement specialists across various projects. We have multiple procurement specialist positions available immediately for long-term contracts with the possibility of extension in the Joint, Land, Maritime, and Aerospace Systems Divisions of CASG.
The contract rate is variable and will be determined by your level of competence and skill set.
About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Commitment to assist the department in achieving goals by providing high-quality procurement work and advice;
- Capability of assisting in procurement project management; offering advice on various procurement processes; drafting approach to market documents - Request for Tender (RFT), and so on;
- Proven expertise and/or experience in identifying and reducing procurement risks, preparing procurement advice, sourcing/tender development, probity, evaluation, and contract management are required;
- Ability to take the initiative to identify and solve complex problems and manage issues to support delivery of capability, including understanding of the technical, operational and logistical requirements;
- Participate in tender evaluations, draft contract papers, draft LRAs, and assist with vendor negotiations and project implementation;
- Proactively manage supplier performance to meet contract requirements in terms of schedule, cost, and quality, establishing and integrating relevant key performance indicators;
- Commercial awareness, highly developed interpersonal skills, teamwork abilities, and understanding of Commonwealth procurement policies are highly desired (Desirable);
- Completion of military-specific commercial courses such as Contract Risk Modules and ASDEFCON Template user training (Desirable);
