An early career opportunity has become available within Downer's Tasmania Surfacing business for a Graduate Engineer wanting to develop their career within an ASX listed company.
The successful candidate will work with an enthusiastic and driven team delivering key asphalt surfacing projects around Tasmania. You will be given exposure to all operational facets of our business and direct responsibility within project delivery and compliance. While there will be a variety of responsibilities in this role, the focus will be on-site activity; capturing data, reporting and ensuring project plans are implemented. ABOUT YOU Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering or related disciplines Exposure to civil construction would be highly advantageous but not essential. Have a willingness and enthusiasm to learn all aspects of our operations. An understanding of planning, execution, and reporting of projects Be outcome focused with efficient communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. Some demonstrated ability to work with people both in a team and autonomously. Proficient computer skills in particular Project and Excel Strong safety focus with demonstrated evidence of actively promoting and sustaining a Zero harm environment. Be enthusiastic and seeking an opportunity to make a significant contribution. Have the courage to challenge yourself and try new things.
