RUSOMs Werribee Mercy HospitalSeeking RUSOM's to assist with the provision of woman-centred, family oriented, evidence-based care within our multidisciplinary team environment at Werribee Mercy Hospital. Under support and supervision of a midwife, the RUSOM will work collegially with other health professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for women and babies in their care.
The RUSOM will provide care that is:
Woman focused, to respect the rights, needs and expectations of the childbearing woman
Integrated and consistent
Evidence-based
Supportive of a learning environment for all colleagues
Delegated aspects of care will fall within the RUSOM scope and individual level of experience and as specified within the duties and exclusion list in the care of women and babies.
ABOUT YOU:
Current enrolment at a University undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery (double degree) or a Bachelor of Midwifery
Minimum of 2 years completion of their Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery Dual Degree
Minimum of 12 months completed of their Bachelor of Midwifery Degree
Registration as a student with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) Possess excellent clinical skills Effective organisational skills, with respect to time management and delegation
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
ABOUT US: Werribee Mercy Hospital is a General Public Hospital located in the rapidly growing Western suburbs of Melbourne. Our services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Candidates are required to meet the position and qualification requirements. Provide a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check (Mercy Health may conduct additional background checks subject to current legislation).
