Job summary
About Our ClientOur client is a top 25 Danish company, specialised in technology, equipment and services for the mining industry. With more than 10,000 employees across the world across 60 countries, this position will be part of a category management team of 15 people and can be based anywhere in QLD, with occasional travelling to the head office in Pinkenba and to clients across Australia.
This role reports to the Head of Procurement, based in Europe.
Job Description
Part of the responsibilities of this role include:
* Leading local category activities to ensure long-term procurement strategies are implemented regionally/locally
* Deploying business unit category procurement strategy in alignment with global category strategies
* Participating in the development of category strategy based on the overall procurement strategy
* Maintaining an overview of supplier options and continuously searching for qualified suppliers and building relationships with supplier
The Successful Applicant
We are looking for a professional with at least 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing in the mining industry.
Candidates from heavy machinery and mining services can also be considered
