Due to a strong pipeline of projects Clarke Energy is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join their dynamic construction team. Reporting to the Electrical Construction Superintendent, you will be an integral link between the Engineering and Construction teams responsible for delivery of Projects within the EPC business unit.
The Role:
- Drive a consistent approach towards all electrical construction activities, value for money is maximised and cost savings generated.
- Compile electrical scopes of work and formulate electrical tender documentation and packages.
- Coordinate and provide electrical support for construction in LV, HV, control systems, earthing and commissioning.
- Participate in supplier negotiations and recommend supplier selection.
- Monitor suppliers performance and contractual obligations.
- Ensure Company safety objective of zero harm and no lost time injuries is maintained
- Contribute your practical experience into electrical design, review of safety systems, risk assessments and HAZOPs of electrical systems.
- Manage electrical outcomes for projects delivered on/before project schedule and site works are executed.
- Coordinate electrical contractor works on site, and plant construction against drawings and specifications.
- Ensure QA documentation is completed in accordance with the contract requirements.
- Carry out electrical estimates and compile electrical work variation pricing.
- Supervise and organise HV switching and isolations on sites.
- Communicate with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
- Assist with closing out defects with electrical equipment and installation works on sites. Includes preparation of commissioning plans and coordination of commissioning activities.
- On site work under a Site Manager. You may assume the role of Senior representative from time to time during commissioning or when the Site Manager is off site.
- Site and office based role, operating out of Adelaide. Regular travel to regional and remote locations, both intra and interstate, flexible FIFO roster, ensuring a balanced work - life schedule.
About you:
- Trade background with supervisory experience (Class A Electrical License - essential).
- Associate Diploma or other relevant tertiary qualification (highly regarded)
- Experience in a similar role and plant commissioning experience
- HV Installation and HV switching experience and credentials (essential)
- Hazardous Area Installation experience and credentials (highly regarded)
- Computer skills: MS Office
- Safety management training
- Effective evaluation, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work in critical EPC Project and construction environments
- Current Drivers Licence
- Hold working rights for Australia
