The purpose of this role is to work closely with the Communications Manager, promoting the organisation through a managed program of media stories. You will be required to coordinate production and distribution of communications collateral, support development and execution of communications campaigns.
Job Description
- Providing media and issues management advice to the organisation on current and emerging media issues and opportunities.
- Writing press releases, newsletters and other articles for publications that generate a favourable image of the organisation.
- Providing media relations and media event management.
- Preparing publications such as newsletters and brochures, or a range of other communication and promotional copy as required.
- Editing and proofreading content prepared by other writers.
- Creating and managing digital content including photography and videography, social media, website content in conjunction with other campaign and digital staff.
The Successful Applicant
The team are looking for an enthusiastic media and communications specialist; someone with a passion for healthcare and experience working within a similar role. You will have highly developed written communication skills with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines. The team are collaborative across the wider organisation and require someone who is innovative and able to adapt and re-prioritise at short notice.
