This company has now opened their doors for an Assistant Accountant to join the team and grow within the organisation as the company rapidly expands in its sales activity.

Job Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller the key responsibilities will include:

- The full end-to-end monthly reporting process, including accruals, prepayments, and other EOM journals for several group companies.
- The Accounts Payable function including entry of invoices into the accounting system.
- Preparation of monthly general ledger reconciliations to ensure integrity of reporting.
- Budget vs actual reporting and variance analysis.
- Assist in meeting compliance requirements including payroll tax, IAS, BAS, Superannuation and FBT.
- Management and maintenance of fixed asset and depreciation register.
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis when required.

The Successful Applicant

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in an Accountant position for 2+ years.
- Experience in accounting for multiple currencies.
- Exposure to multiple company accounting and consolidated accounts is desirable.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to self-manage to meet strict deadlines.
