As a Nationwide supplier to the retail and food service sectors, our client prides themselves on their ability to provide high quality products, which are convenient and don't hit the back pocket. Operating from a purpose built facility in Jandakot, they supply a range of industries including QSR, Industrial and the leading supermarket brands.

Acquired a couple of years ago, and with an International owner who is focussed on growth, they have undergone a transformation and now need an Operation Manager to help install systems, protocol and staff morale.

In this role you will report directly to the General Manager. With 6 reporting staff and approx. 200 indirect reports you will set the strategy and direction. The GM wants someone who has initiative, enjoys change and sees opportunity.

In particular:

- Provides direct leadership to the production management and warehousing teams
- Ensures the production plan is optimized and is sufficient to meet sales orders while retaining agreed safety stock levels
- Ensures that a training matrix is in place and is being used to ensure key skills are always available
- Accountable for factory cleaning processes being completed to the required standard and within the agreed budget
- Accountable for department KPI measurement, reporting, and attainment of these measures
- Ensures management reports are prepared as required

To be considered for the role:

- Minimum of 5 years in a senior Food Production leadership role
- Effective communicator with a very strong participative leadership style
- Experienced in and passionate about development and application of continuous improvement
- Experienced in managing cost centers to a budget
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret data to find problems and drive improvements
