As a result of their industry-leading products and versatile solutions, they are currently on an expansive growth trajectory; as such they are seeking an additional Senior Financial Accountant to join their team.
Job Description
Reporting in to the Finance Director, and with one direct report your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Manage and produce the divisional internal monthly reporting in accordance with Accounting Standards.
- Support corporate finance function to produce group internal monthly reporting and external reporting in accordance with Accounting Standards and ASX listing rules.
- Support divisional commercial managers with forecasting, planning and analysis.
- Support Group Reporting Manager and Group Tax Manager with internal / external reporting and compliance related tasks and activities
- Preparation of information required by the external auditors; and liaison with external auditors to resolve queries
- Preparation of local Statutory accounts for required entities
- Ensure the month end closing & all associated reporting requirements (monthly, quarterly and annual) is completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Stay abreast with current changes in IFRS/Accounting Standards and ensure the company is compliant
- Review all statutory returns such as GST, FBT, R&D, prepared by the Assistant Accountant
- Ensure Income Tax Return and Statutory accounts are submitted for managerial review in a timely manner
- Provide training to the Assistant Accountant and continuously review best practice finance processes are in place
- Work closely with the Director, Finance to ensure that adequate internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy and reliability of financial records
The Successful Applicant
You will be CA/CPA Qualified with at least 5 years' professional Accounting experience. You will have experience managing small teams, and ideally have knowledge of the industrial manufacturing and/or logistics/distribution industries. You will have exceptional communication skills, and be a confident business partner.
