Job Description
The Project Accountant will partner with development managers in the financial controlling of the groups projects as well as work alongside a high performing accounting team to deliver financial reporting to ICD's stakeholders.
- Project position reporting - Preparation of management reports, analytics and project reporting to assist with the monitoring and management of project performance.
- Project position reporting - Develop a deep understanding of the groups projects and the associated accounting issues (and impact on Group results).
- Audit support - Assist with coordination of audit process, dealing with queries and providing support to the Financial Reporting & Internal Control Manager on a timely basis.
- Business Unit support - To partner with Development Managers and the Investment Manager to ensure accurate reporting and financial controlling of the project including forecasting of project cashflows in Estate Master.
- Business Unit support - Preparation of project reporting to assist the Finance and Investment team with capital raising.
- Project work - Assist and drive ad-hoc projects and resolution of financial and operational issues.
- Project work - Assist with the financial operation of the project including preparation and coordination of loan drawdowns, equity calls and bank guarantees.
- Process improvement - Continually challenge the processes and systems in place and work with the Finance Director to ensure optimum efficiency, automation and quality of financial reporting process.
- Stakeholder management - Provide regular reporting and updates to investors and/or JV partners as well as coordinating project approvals in accordance with the set governance frameworks.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be able to meet the following criteria;
- CA/CPA qualification
- Solid 4-5 years' experience in the property development industry
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills
- Ability to analyse and communicate financial information
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement abilities with a client-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail, yet ability to see the big picture
- Demonstrated success in improving financial reporting and/or achieving efficiency
- Experience with Estate Master project management software
