We are looking for a special kind of person - a St Vincent's kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.As the Lifestyle Assistant/Diversional Therapist, you'll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent's Care Services, Kangaroo Point.
St Vincent's Care Services Kangaroo Point (locally known as Marycrest and Lilian Cooper) offers progressive care in a stimulating and caring environment, where staff ensure residents feel welcome, valued and safe. The facility has earned a wonderful reputation as a place where elderly residents are cared for with respect and compassion.
Our Kangaroo Point residents enjoy exceptional care with the added benefit of one of the finest views in Australia. St Vincent's Care Services Kangaroo Point is co-located with St Vincent's Private Hospital Brisbane near the iconic Story Bridge, and overlooks the meandering Brisbane River and the city skyline.

Things that work for us:
Certificate III or Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure or diversional therapy is essential
Experience in an aged care facility, developing Leisure programs including working with dementia clients
High level of customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Ability to follow directives as per care plan
Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
Current flu and COVID-19 vaccination and National Police Certificate (within the last 6 months)
NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
