Job summary
This is a rare opportunity to join the global Head Office of a high growth and highly acquisitive vertically integrated critical mineral company that has a high calibre board, executive leadership team and investor base. The business has grown exponentially in 2021 within a sector that will continue to grow over the long term. The growth, development and diversification of the business has created the requirement for this newly created, highly visible and influential role.Working closely with the CFO and CEO, you will be the key senior financial analyst within global head office. The role is very broad with key accountabilities to include:Drive and co-ordinate the Groups annual budgeting process as well as periodic reforecasting.Perform group performance reporting, financial forecasting, business valuation and analysis.Own the Groups current financial models and make recommendations for improvement.Analyse financial data and create new financial models for decision support.Own the Groups cash flow forecasting process, identify liquidity requirements and trends and make recommendations around the Groups financing needs.Consult with the management team to develop long-term commercial plans.Guide the cost analysis by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation computations.Work closely with the Groups various finance teams across the globe.Contribute to the bi-monthly Board reporting process.Support the Group Financial Controller in managing and overseeing the annual and half-year audit process, particularly in relation to valuations, impairment testing and cash flow forecasts.Other ad hoc duties as and when required.

You will have worked in a similar listed corporate environment (ideally Mining/Oil/Gas/Energy sectors) or you might be seeking a move into industry for the first time from an IB, management consulting or Big4 firm. It is expected you will possess strong financial modelling skills, and an aptitude for developing solutions for complex forecasting and analysis issues. This role will have regular contact with stakeholders around the globe and will therefore require someone with the energy and drive to manage changing priorities and a collegiate & professional work ethic.
