About the role

- Prepare and review tender packages to subcontractors
- Head contract and subcontractor administration including assessment of progress claims, variations and issuance of payment certificates
- Prepare monthly reports to provide accurate details of the project's financial status including cost to complete reports, tender analysis for each subcontractor prior to appointment
- Maintain proactive and positive relationships with client, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers while negotiating and managing the head contract and subcontractors for the project
- Manage all reporting required by the client, including status reporting, project reports, program reporting, risk reporting, ensuring all reporting has sufficient content and is submitted on time.
- Negotiate subcontractor contract prices, conditions and prepare final contract documents.
- Implementation and support of subcontract management processes
- Commercial review of Head Contracts and Agreements
- Assess, approve and process subcontract Payment Claims and Supplier Invoices as required.
- Prepare bill of quantities for material order
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate Progress Claims and Variations
- Prepare and review monthly Cost Reports to track target and forecast final costs

To be successful in the role you will possess

- Demonstrated experience as a Contracts Administrator within a construction/engineering environment for a head contractor
- Strong understanding and experience in a range of complex contracts ideally on projects
- Knowledge in current computer packages MS Word (Intermediate), Excel (Intermediate), MS Access, MS Outlook required
- Experience with and understanding of Company procurement and commercial processes and procedures
- Experience with and understanding of financial/cost/project management system and processes
- Demonstrated understanding of Client head contract documents (relevant State authorities)
- A strong ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders and subcontractors
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related field highly desirable
