About the project
We are building a powerful tool that will corral complex water information to make it understandable for water users in Queensland, help our client to make more informed planning decisions and to regain the trust of the wider community in how water is used, shared, traded and managed.
About the Role
This position is a key liaison between our development team and our clients business and IT staff. The Business Analyst deals with the more tactical, day-to-day aspects of discovering, validating, documenting and communicating business-process-related knowledge through an understanding of the trends within the water and IT and developing a vision for the future.
This position supports our Head of Consulting enabling them to create and recommend better solutions to our customers and to drive higher performance outcomes for our customers.
Occasionally, this role is required to collaborate in developing business opportunities and sales proposals.
The role would suit someone wanting to move into project management in the near future.
About you
You are an experienced Business Analyst that can straddle the IT and business domains (water) and communicate well with both. You are a hands-on worker who can devise creative solutions to business and technical problems while at the same time having empathy for the needs of our customers customers.
You are an excellent communicator with experience in digesting and synthesising information, presenting with clarity and challenging thinking. You enjoy facilitating workshops and leading the next steps together with project managers. You are a highly collaborative person, capable to team up and gain the confidence of peers in enterprise architecture, solution architecture and application development, business Intelligence and program & project management.
Requirements:Tertiary education in computing, science or engineering. Experience working in water, environmental sciences or civil engineering is highly desirable.Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure, multi-stakeholder environment.Experience working with a high-performing team, both side by side and remotely. Strongly self-organised and capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated experience in presenting ideas with clarity whether in presentations or documents. Experience in data visualisation and digitisation would be highly regardedAn understanding or experience with Agile philosophy would be regarded well too. Proficiency in working with Microsoft office products.
