job detailsWe have an exciting opportunity for a Health Safety Environment (HSE) Coordinator to join my clients growing Perth team. As the HSE Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the National HSE Manager during the design, implementation and monitoring of critical HSE requirements and initiatives across the Residential business to continually develop the business's HSE culture.
Please note this is a permanent part-time position working equivalent to four days per week. Hours can be four days or spread across five days - the choice is yours and flexibility is key!
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Undertake HSE duties as directed by the National HSE Manager consistent with the requirements of the Residential and Groups Health Safety Environment Management Systems.
- Maintain a direct line of reporting to the National HSE Manager regarding all HSE matters as well and collaboration with the broader Residential and Group HSE teams.
- Assist in the review of HSE Management Plans, Job Safety & Environment Analysis or equivalent, insurances and other relevant HSE documentation provided by Service Providers prior to commencement of work in a timely manner.
- Participate in Principal Contractor (PC) HSE tender reviews and undertake HSE implementation reviews.
- Administer the HSE Residential Service Provider Online portal (HammerTech) for all WA portfolio with a focus on Landscaping Service Providers.
- Coach Service Providers to enable the compliance with company HSE requirements.
- Provide HSE operational support to the Residential Landscaping Team.
- Administer workers compensation, injury management and return to work processes and assist in the administration of any relevant case in the Team under their scope of works.
- Review of relevant HSE Management Plans, SWMS and WRMP across key activities and assist the business to prepare where required.
- Assist in the ongoing development and implementation of the HSE Management Systems and supporting policies, procedures, guidelines and awareness programs.
- Facilitate the dissemination of health safety environment information to all relevant personnel.
- Conduct investigation and formal reporting of incidents involving injury, near miss, damage to plant and equipment or environment harm within 24 hrs and ensure that appropriate and timely action is initiated to prevent recurrence.
- Participate in the resolution of any disputes in consultation with the National HSE Manager Residential, which may arise over workplace health safety environment issues.
- Assist with the delivery of HSE induction and any other HSE relevant training.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal parties who operate as the 'customer's' of the HSE Coordinator role.
- Liaise with multiple projects and stakeholders in different teams based across multiple locations.

To be successful in the role you will require:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Work Health Safety, (a minimum of Cert IV in OHS).
- Indicative industry experience and operational site-based exposure in similar industries.
- Formally recognised audit and investigation qualifications.
- Sound knowledge of injury management, Return to Work and Regional HSE Legislative requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office abilities and effective organisation skills.
- Finally, you will be a team player, have strong attention to detail and be able to prioritise tasks effectively
