What's the role?We have an exciting opportunity to join our Operations team!
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Senior Materials Manager is responsible for managing the flow of materials within Hilti Australia and ensuring there is an optimization of inventory and service levels. This role focuses more on the customer side of materials management. Day to day, you will drive systematic control and maintenance of inventory levels and availability to the customers through close co-operation with sales, marketing and finance.
This position gives you the opportunity to work with all departments in the organization, to really drive change through strong communication and stakeholder management and have a direct impact to the companies success.
What does the role involve?
Managing product availability to achieve corporate service levels
Managing inventory levels to achieve working capital targets
Supporting sales channels in providing world class customer service
Working together with internal stakeholders to drive actions and decisions
What you need is:
3-5 years Demand/Supply Planning experience required
Bachelors Degree (operations, logistics or supply chain related field)
Proficient user of SAP R3 DRP, Inventory Modules & Data Management preferred
Proficient user of Microsoft Excel (with experience using Formulae, Pivot Tables, V-look ups)
Excellent and strong communication skills both verbal and written
Strong influencing & negotiation skills
Experience in larger Companies, dealing with complex or a variety of items per day preferred
