Job summary
Master Builders Insurance Brokers (MBIB) is a rapidly growing national insurance broker specialising in the building and construction industry. With a proven history of developing quality insurance professionals, we aim to create an environment where our people feel respected and engaged with the business, and where they are rewarded for outstanding work.With our ongoing growth, we have introduced a new Payroll and Accounts role to manage a range of payroll, accounts payable and Finance / HR administration tasks that have previously been outsourced.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is based in our East Melbourne office, and can be offered as either full time or part time (4 full days per week or 5 shorter days).
What you will be doing
Processing fortnightly payroll payments for approximately 80 staff. Prepare and reconcile payroll tax, PAYG tax, superannuation, annual Payment Summaries and payroll deductions Payroll related reporting and maintenance of records such as leave liability, pay reports, Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant ATO guidelines and State legislations, Weekly processing and payment of Accounts payable invoices Monthly bank reconciliations, journal entries and credit card reconciliations Assist with Finance and HR related projects including but not limited to Staff Incentive Scheme payments, annual salary reviews, asset management and budget preparation, Continuous improvement and streamlining of payroll and AP processes, Finance, HR and compliance administration as required.
About you
Previous payroll experience is essential, ideally also with Accounts Payable experience Experience using Technology One will be highly regarded, Sound working financial understanding, Enthusiastic and focussed on delivering outstanding service to internal and external clients, Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and contribute to the wider business.
