Job Description
The Territory Manager is responsible for driving profitable and sustainable growth within the defined territory through the development of key relationships with customers, stakeholders and influencers, and strategic execution of the business plan.
- To profitably grow market share within the defined territory with target end users, key influencers, & customers whilst strategically executing the business plan.
- Achieve monthly and annual revenue, profit, volume plans across all targeted markets and product categories.
- Enable growth of master and project specification with industry stakeholders and influencers, through strategic market education/engagement activities and collaboration with supporting teams & functions.
- Support segment/region development and implementation of strategic growth initiatives and plans for the territory in conjunction with Key Account Managers, Business Development Managers, & Structural Engineers.
- Maintain an intimate understanding of the market including size, competitors, products (value proposition), terminology, alternative construction methods, key influencers, partner/80's customers and channels to market to ensure alignment of sales plans;
- Provide regular reporting on activities and targets as required by the Sales Manager;
- Build strong relationships with the supporting teams functions (including project coordinators, customer service, operations, finance, marketing, engineering/design) to ensure smooth delivery of the products and services.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree qualified in Business, Construction, Architecture or relevant field experience
- Must have effective stakeholder management and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in managing and growing sales through both direct selling and through a network of partner distributors
- Strong track record growing a territory, or set of accounts within the Commercial Construction industry or related trades
- Natural collaborator that brings people together and finds ways to win in a technical/engineered selling environment
- Customer focused with an ability to analyse data and make commercial decisions
- MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI.
- Ability to prospect, research, connect and develop relationships across a broad range of construction industry stakeholders
