job detailsAs the Senior Payroll Services Manager, you will be the new leader of payroll systems and services across the organisation. About your new role
The primary purpose of the position of the Senior Payroll Services Manager is to:
- Manage, develop and oversee Payroll processes that are streamlined, harmonised, accurate, efficient and embed good governance and compliance.
- Manage and continually improve the quality and efficiency of the Payroll operations function.
- Establish and implement effective change within the Payroll team to meet the immediate and long-term Payroll requirements of the organisation.
- Provide effective leadership to the Payroll Department to ensure the efficient delivery of Payroll services with a strong customer delivery focus.
- Support and embed FRV values and culture within the Payroll Department to deliver on FRV strategic objectives through behaviours, leadership, policy and processes.
Duties
- Overall functional leadership and accountability for the implementation and management of efficient, reliable and accurate Payroll processes and services.
- Ensure all payments and services to employees are made accurately and on time
- Create a high performing Payroll team
- Provide high quality customer centric Payroll services to the organisation that are strategically aligned, proactive, responsive, integrated and collaborative.
- Develop and implement an operating plan, formulate new policies and services practices
- Provides strategic advice to executives and leaders which will influence outcomes and resolve highly sensitive and complex problems that arise exercising sound judgement in the resolution of issues.

- Extensive payroll experience required. SAP /Pay Global experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing end to end payroll including knowledge of general accounting practices, superannuation, FBT and payroll tax principles.
- High level financial and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated experience in leading complex payroll/rostering processes and systems that meet current and future needs.
- Sound understanding of industrial agreements and their application in a 24 x 7 rotating shift environment.
