About the role:
- Maintain the departments regulatory pricing model
- Managing ongoing engagement with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission ...
(ACCC) on pricing and regulatory issues
- Taking a lead role in the review of customer service standards in irrigation schemes.
- Leading the delivery and response to periodic irrigation price reviews, in consultation with the
business. This includes:
o Identification and definition of key regulatory and commercial issues
o Management of internal and, as necessary, external resources in the definition and evaluation of
options for responding to, or managing issues and the development of final departments positions
o Critically reviewing internally developed responses to ensure they optimise business outcomes
o Managing and recording the flow of documents and information between the regulator and the
business
o Assessing data-sets and documentation to ensure consistency across all responses
- Maintaining ongoing records and data-sets in preparation for upcoming irrigation price reviews
- Maintaining sufficient regulatory knowledge to fulfil the role of economic regulation subject matter
expert, to ensure the department understands its ongoing and evolving regulatory obligations in relation to
pricing matters
- Accountable for ensuring the regulatory pricing model is kept up to date with current and forecast cost
(historical and forecast) and demand data.
- Overseeing and providing guidance to the regulatory and pricing analyst in the performance of their
duties.
- Leading the identification of key regulatory issues, and suitable responses as they arise across the full
regulatory cycle
About you:
- Minimum of ten years professional experience required in a similar role.
- 5 years or more developing and leading cross-functional initiatives aligned with customer centric strategies
- Demonstrated business acumen and building strong partnerships with stakeholders (internal and external)
- Experience in turning customer feedback into opportunities for improving overall customer
experience
- Experience within a business subject to economic price regulation is highly desirable, preferably having
involvement in a full regulatory cycle
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Engineering, Economics or a related field
