The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your role will include liaising and communicating with clients, stakeholders and internal team members to understand and outline project scope and requirements, provide guidance or alternative technical solutions where necessary and develop detailed electrical designs and schematics aligned with specifications. You will run feasibility studies and technical analyses to determine the viability of solutions, resolve any technical issues and ensure designs and installations adhere to safety regulations and industry best practices. You will be overseeing complete project life cycles from inception through to handover, whilst ensuring that objective, quality, schedule and budget goals are met.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation or Electronic Engineering or relevant
- Current National Engineering Register (NER) Certified or in progress of obtaining
- Sound understanding and implementation of AS 3000 & IEC 61439 standards
- Experience in creating electrical detailed designs, SLD and schematics
- Proven ability to create project schedules, milestones and budgets, and monitor progress ensuring alignment with time lines and costs
- Able to create and maintain project documentation library including FAT, HAC, MDR, drawings, specifications, technical and progress reports etc.
- Have effective communication across divisions, keeping all involved informed and updated on status
- Unrestricted Australian work rights and detailed Australian experience is mandatory
