An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Grade 2 Social Worker to join our team on a permanent basis. To fulfil this role, it is essential that you have experience working in an inpatient hospital social work position. This position will be based in the acute wards at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) located in Fitzroy.Use your skills to undertake multi-dimensional, comprehensive psychosocial assessments, apply clinical reasoning, and formulate appropriate complex intervention and discharge plansLiaise with patients, their families and/or carers to co-ordinate, facilitate and communicate patient treatment and outcomesActively participate in quality improvement and research activitiesProvide supervision and participate in clinical education programs as requiredPromote and develop positive relationships within the department, wider organisation and with community partners
Classifications for Grade 2 Social Workers range from SC21 to SC24 ($83,361 - $95,825 per annum).
Your ContributionBachelor Degree or Qualifying Masters in Social WorkSignificant social work experience in a hospital or related inpatient health care setting is essentialCurrent National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
