About the role

The Project Officer will assist in the delivery of the clients commitment
to the community to provide soundly planned high quality
infrastructure assets. This role will assist a team of experienced
Project Managers to fulfil the scope of responsibilities for the delivery
of nominated infrastructure projects with a variety of focus areas,
including:

- Civil infrastructure
- Building construction
- Landscape, streetscape and other public realms

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in assessment and investigation of projects to evaluate
value for money principles in accordance with Councils Annual
Business Plan under the guidance of a team of Project Managers.
- Participate in the implementation of infrastructure projects,
from scoping to construction including communications,
procurement, change requests, and post project reviews.
- Participate in the development of capital works programs
including the scoping, costing and prioritisation of projects.

Skill and experience

- Competent written and verbal communication, interpersonal,
negotiation and conflict resolution skills with a range of
audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively,
within and across teams to achieve agreed outcomes, identify
and implement improvement opportunities
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and identify improvement
opportunities and any associated risks.
