You will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and supporting University of Canberra, Sydney Hills Campus Nursing students clinical placements. The position works to: Work closely with the start-up team in this exciting new campus development Arrange and coordinate placement activities for students at the University of Canberra, Sydney Hills Develop collaborative relationships with industry partners Engage collaboratively with the University of Canberra academics and the placement team.Deliver on responsibilities for reporting and administrative of students placements, coordinating agreements, KPI tracking, student and employer satisfaction using several systems (i.e InPlace, Smartsheets) and methods
Key Responsibilities:Plan Pre-placement briefing sessions.Secure placements from NSW sites (public and private health care providers), ensuring appropriate spread and numbers of placements are secured.Liaise with Placement Coordinator to ensure placements are allocated effectively and as per accreditation requirements.Student remediation plans.Support students on placement, and act as the first point of call for healthcare providers.Liaise with placement sites to ensure students are allocated effectively.Advice and implementation of students with disabilities reasonable adjustment plans.Review and input of student clinical assessments.Post placement debriefing.Monitor adherence to administrative procedures and implement business improvement initiatives as required.Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders on placement related matters to support planning, implementation, and quality assurance of Nursing placements.
As the successful candidate you will ideally have: Post graduate Nursing qualificationsAHPRA registrationExperience in coordinating and supporting Nursing placements, either in industry or university setting as a Clinical FacilitatorStrong understanding of Nursing Clinical PlacementsUnderstanding of ANMAC accreditation requirements Commitment to inclusion and diversityCross cultural competence Interpersonal skillsNegotiation and Conflict resolution
