New Permanent Payroll Officer job opportunity for an ambitious Payroll officer of 2+ years looking for a new challenge in a fast paced and dynamic environment. This role focuses on fortnightly payroll processing pay across Aus & NZ for approx 1,700 - 1,800 employees using Micropay. You will report into an established and knowledgeable Payroll Manager and support the wider HR & Accounting functions. This is a permanent full time payroll position, based in Homebush (parking available) and it provides flexible working from office and home (3/2 split). Salary offering up to C, $85K + super plus other company benefits. Key responsibilities include:

- Process fortnightly payroll for Australia and weekly payroll for New Zealand. You will process for approx 1,800 employees using the Micropay system.
- Ensure time sheet accuracy and liaise with the business to ensure the information is correct.
- Reconcile STP and gross report as well as calculating workers compensation.
- Maintain employee records from new starter set up to termination & redundancy calculations.
- Provide employment advice to branch and regional managers.
- Reconcile accounts and run month end reports.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties, including assisting with payroll projects.

Preferred skills and experience

- 2+ year experience with end to end payroll processing.
- Understanding and experience using payroll systems, ideally Micropay.
- Interpret EA's, company policy and understand related legislation.
- Strong reconciliation skills and ability to assist with month end.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and high volume environment.
