McArthur Community Care is a Registered NDIS Provider in Victoria. We specialise in delivering individualised and flexible supports through a holistic and person-centred approach to maintain independence and social connection with the community. We are committed to providing the highest quality of service to maintain people's independence, choice and control.We are seeking qualified Disability Support Workers in the Inner East Metropolitan Melbourne who are have specific experience in working with people with a range of disabilities and abilities including intellectual, ABI, neurological, cognitive, sensory, physical impairment, psycho-social and autism. The successful candidate will need to be reliable, caring and compassionate and flexible to work with a wide range of people living with disabilities.

Requirements:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be required to assist people with :Personal care - showering, dressing, groomingHousehold tasks - household cleaning and laundrySkill development - shopping, cooking, catching public transportTransport - transport to appointments and/or shoppingSocial & Community participation - engage in the community, meet people,Respite care - support the Participant while the primary carer has a break
Suitable Applicants MUST have:
Minimum 6 months experience in a disability support worker role or in a similar position (essential)
Certificate III in Individual Supports /Disability Cert IV or equivalent (essential)
Current relevant State's Probity Checks (essential)
Current National Police Clearance
Valid Working With Children's Check
Current First Aid Certificate incl. CPR (essential)
Current Manual Handling Certificate (essential)
Valid Driver's Licence (essential)
Fully insured vehicle (to be used for work purposes)
Effective communication, comprehension and interpersonal skills
Sound and effective time management skills
Possess a high level of trust, honest and integrity and be able to maintain a professional relationship with all participants
