About Our ClientOur client is a major local government organisation focused on the progress of city land developments in the local community. They are responsible for a large area in Perth's north, and oversee a diverse population with a strong focus on providing high quality services to residents.
Job Description
Project Management
-Coordinate the development and delivery of assigned local land projects to achieve the deliverable of strategic plans
-Consult with internal and external stakeholders on the development of projects
-Identify opportunities and conduct feasibility studies including budgeting, estimating and potential scope of project.
-Research and recommend new development opportunities
Contract Management
-Engage consultants by preparing legally robust documentation
-Prepare tender documentation and evaluate tenders as part of a panel
-Assess and arrange quotes against work requirements
Financial Management
-Contribute advice to the annual budget
-produce monthly reports including trends and variations and consult on annual budget with internal stakeholders
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate in the role will be a project officer with a background in:
- Project management skills and the ability to coordinate large complex projects
- Experience in budgeting and reporting monthly financial review
- Proven ability to communicate and consult with internal external stakeholders
- Comprehensive knowledge of tenderingand local governement policies
Individuals with experience in areas of town and city planning are welcomed.
