Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant would be -
- Build strong working relationships with the business owners of responsible departments.
- Assist with the delivery of accurate and informative month end accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and full year accounts including the auditing process.
- Assist with the budget and forecast process within specified time frames.
- Reconcile daily GL Accounts for all theme park divisions to gain an understanding of the beginning to end process with the aim to improve the process and eliminate any discrepancies.
- Provide ad-hoc administrative assistance within the Finance department.
- Work effectively within a team environment to provide excellent internal service and to promote a positive working environment.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have -
- Accounting bachelor's degree required with demonstrated experience in a similar commercial role.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualifications preferred.
- Strong computer skills, with competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of SAP an advantage.
