Reporting to the Assistant Director, Business Analysis this role supports the Agency by ensuring changes to processes and business support systems have been analysed and opportunities, problems and risks are identified. Critical to your success in this role will be your ability to document requirements while outlining implementation priorities and identifying project timeframes.
This role is vital in ensuring business continuity in parallel with improving processes, technology and implementing legislative changes. Your ability to drive the documentation and business requirements together with the communications and change plans required from an overall program perspective will make you a pivotal part of the team.
Key Responsibilities include:
The Business Analyst will coordinate and contribute to streams of work associated with the design and development of product configuration, reports and templates by:
- Preparing requirements, specifications, process maps, and recommendation documents including details of the required changes to processes, systems, data and metrics, using the latest business analysis tools, techniques and methodologies
- Conducting meetings and facilitating workshops with business stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts of business processes to understand and document any future state changes.
- Contributing to the achievement of project objectives and priorities through the application of project knowledge and business analysis expertise.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders to be informed of expectations in relation to the Commissions direction, structure and business requirements to ensure the delivery of quality project outcomes.
- Effectively presenting information, including data analysis, that is easily consumable by the end user, using appropriate tools and communication channels and communicating with influence when providing advice and recommendations based on expertise and experience
- Support to Project Managers through business analysis to achieve successful outcomes
Ideally you will possess:
- Proven experience with data and information research, extraction, collection, analysis and presentation
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to liaise with project stakeholders, including internal management and Subject Matter Experts
- Understanding of Lean Methodology and technology and business systems both strategic and operational
- Demonstrated experience in business process improvement/redesign, data analysis, system functional and non-functional analysis
- Knowledge of SharePoint and BABOK highly desirable
