Launceston Eye operates Private Ophthalmic Consulting rooms located in Launceston Tasmania.Launceston Eye Doctors is seeking an individual with a can do attitude to fulfill the role of Receptionist/Ophthalmic Technician on a full-time basis.
The medical receptionist has the important role of being the patients first contact with the clinic; therefore they need to have a professional level of presentation, outstanding communication and customer service skills.
The Role:Reception/Administration dutiesBe responsible for the receipt of billing and payments from patients, including end of day banking reconciliationAssist with maintenance of Medical RecordsLiaise with patients and their families in a compassionate mannerLiaise with GPs, other health professionals and their staffConsistently be aware of and comply with OHS requirementsAssisting our ophthalmic medical team by screening patients and undertaking ophthalmic tests.
The successful application will demonstrate:Previous medical/optical experience essentialPreferred optical experienceExcellent interpersonal skillsAble to communicate effectively with a diverse range of peopleAbility to maintain high levels of professionalism and confidentialityAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentProficient in use of keyboard/computerAvailable to work flexible hours, including early and late shiftsWorking with Children ClearancePolice Check
