job detailsOur client specialises in providing quality industrial equipment and are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager Northern Territory, to join their team. Founded in 1993 and operating within a broad range of industries from tree care equipment to directional drilling and HDD tooling for underground utility, fiber-optic network and pipeline installation.
The primary purpose of this role is to identify new business opportunities in the region, across all industries. Building strong networks, strategic relationships and a growth mindset are critical for this position.

Key responsibilities of the Role:
- To develop markets and manage customer relations throughout the Northern Territory
- Experience in the Civil & Mining sector with an understanding of underground utilities, renewable energy wind/solar and open-pit strip mining
- Developing new revenue streams
- Recruit and lead additional team members
- Setup a support branch that will house repair parts and recruit a parts & service technical support
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A background in and understanding of business development, account management or general sales
- A solid understanding of machinery operations and functions to achieve productivity
- Highly developed communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to find common ground with people approaching projects from differing perspectives
- Exposure to underground utilities, renewable energy, open-pit mining and related industries will be well-regarded
- A strong ability and desire to solve problems
- Ability to self manage and work independently to set KPI's
