About Our ClientMy client is a WA mining company with an excellent team culture. Seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to be based on site in a FIFO role with an 8/6 roster for a period of 6 months.
Job Description
Reporting into the Health and Safety Superintendent this is an initial 6-month temporary position and duties will include but are not limited to:
- Conducting risk assessments, audits and inspections of site work activities and conditions
- Provide guidance and support to site supervisors on all HSE matters
- Managing incident investigations and providing assistance in leading, drafting and presenting reports
- Running toolbox meetings and updating JHA's
- Supporting other areas of specialism under the Health & Safety team
- Responsible for drug and alcohol testing and supporting with on boarding new site personnel
- Working with the team to develop and implement safety initiatives
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate must have a broad knowledge and experience working as a Safety Advisor within Operations in a FIFO capacity for the mining or mining related industry sectors. Ideally with 7 + year's experience.You must have a minimum Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety. Ideally site based and mining industry experienced is preferred, however candidates from all industry sectors will be considered. Culture fit is extremely important, and you must be a team player with the ability to use initiative and think on your feet. You must be able to commit for a 6-month period.
