Job Description
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the key responsibilities will include:
- Processing Month End transactions including Journals.
- Reconciliation of the Balance Sheet, reviewing of the P&L and analysis of variances against Budget and Forecast
- Processing Payrolls, leave forms, time sheets and journals and maintaining employee details
- Submitting and paying PAYG, Superannuation as required.
- Assisting with preparation of Statutory Accounts, BAS, PAYG, GST, Tax calculations and declarations as required.
- Preparing information for FBT returns
- Processing Invoices and inter company balances with overseas divisions
- Processing of Inter-Company payments in line with Forecast and sending remittance details to Suppliers.
- Assisting with Hedging of currencies and preparation of Cash Flow Forecasts
- Providing support to the Financial Controller and backup to the Assistant Accountant
- Assisting with Forecasting, Pricing, and Commercial decision making as required
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business majors.
- CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion.
- 5+ years' experience with a background in a similar role.
- Accounts all-rounder experience in retail, FMCG or manufacturing background
- Exceptional technical knowledge with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders across businesses.
- Attributes like being team player, quick learner, can do attitude and flexibility are highly regarded.
- Knowledge of intermediate MS Excel and ERP System - preferably SAP
