Job summary
CASUAL PERSONAL CARE AND LIFESTYLE STAFFWe are looking to employ casual Personal Care Workers and Lifestyle, (Community Engagement), staff at our Glenroy Site.
You will need to be motivated and have a desire to work in Aged Care in an environment that is team and resident focussed.
Experience is preferred, however if you have experience as a PCW but not qualified we offer the opportunity to become qualified through our inhouse traineeship program.
At Colton Close you will be working with a broad multi disciplinary team whilst at the same time be able to enjoy working in a multicultural environment where we value and respect the Culture and Values of others.
To succeed in this role you will have the following qualities:Compassion and understanding for the elderly Be able to work in a team environment and work with staff, residents and families to achieve best outcomes for our residents Be able to use computer based care systems Be flexible with being available to pick up shifts

Aged Care Residential
Our aged care homes are just that, a home for our residents. Youll work as part of a team of people and help with showering, dressing, simple cleaning, linen service, and meals. But youll also be there to enhance our residents living experience through empathy, warmth, understanding, and kindness.
We have regular and flexible shifts in the morning, afternoon, and night. If it suits, weekends too. It can be a great learning environment if you're new to the industry as youll be exposed to experienced carers and nursing staff.

Why we care
For more than 70 years, we have been in the community helping the elderly live their best lives. Today we have 1700+ staff and volunteers and offer residential (aged care), community health and home care, respite, and retirement living options.
We have over 1000 personal carers working across Victoria. Our aged care residential sites are located in Camberwell, Clarinda, Glenroy, Heidelberg, Gisborne, Brunswick West, Caulfield North, Altona Meadows, Mornington, Frankston, Traralgon, and Bendigo. We offer specialised care and expertise in dementia, palliative, and culturally appropriate care for people from non-English speaking backgrounds.
What we look for a genuine passion for caring for the elderlythe ability to work independently and as part of a team certification or higher in Individual Support (Cert III) or related studies including nursing students studying Individual Support or related studies that can work part-time hours an ability to communicate with clients in English (other languages can be helpful too)respect for all, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation
We will ask you to supply an NDIS screen (or proof of lodgement), vaccination certificates, and evidence of your qualifications. Dont worry, well only ask you for these when we need them.
