About the Role
Our Sydney Shelter, based in Yagoona NSW, is now looking for experienced Animal Attendants to join their dedicated team on a full-time basis. You must be motivated, energetic, reliable and willing to undertake a range of Animal Attendant responsibilities, ensuring a high standard of animal care. Perform animal care tasks such as cleaning cages/enclosures; medicating; feeding; exercising; assessing animalsKeep thorough records of the animals in careProvide high level communication to the supervisor and teamProvide high level customer service to all stakeholders, including members of the public
About YouCertificate II Animal Care or animal care qualification essentialAnimal handling experience with dogs/cats essentialStrong communication skills both written and verbalInitiative and ability to prioritiseGood organisational skillsTeam playerExcellent attention to detailNSW driver's license (unrestricted or green P's)Ability to lift 20 kilogramsResilience the ability to bounce back from occasional setbacksThe desire to work with people to improve animal welfare outcomes
