Job Description
The role will involve writing, editing and reviewing a high volume of digital content as well as developing digital content governance documentation for management of content on the website and intranet.
You will also:
- Demonstrate understanding of information architecture (IA) and site structure
- Set up pages in new CMS according to IA and build out the site content
- Tailor content specifically for a range of audience groups
- Develop and deliver intranet content that meets best practice plain English, accessibility, editorial and brand standards.
- Refine the digital writing guidelines
- Assist with training content authors on the content management system
- Define digital content work flow for the creation, approval and publishing of content
- Manage the digital content management plan, maintain project document and report on progress
- Plan and lead the user acceptance testing of all website and intranet content
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience using content management systems including Drupal and Sharepoint.
- Experience with content migration process to migrate a vast amount of content from old CMS to new.
- A tertiary qualification in communication or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of best practice for digital content, particularly with reference to plain English and accessibility (WCAG2.1).
- Experience in writing and editing for the web, with attention to detail, within a large and complex organisations, and in particular working on websites and intranets.
- Experience working on comprehensive redevelopment of digital content of websites and intranets.
