A 12 month contract opportunity to help lead security architecture initiatives and assist in the provision of world class security architecture and solutions across one of Australia's largest programs of work.
The role
As a key technical advisor, you will play an integral role in guiding security solutions, working closely with a variety of stakeholders. You will architect for security, reliability, and scalability to ensure a smooth demerger.
About the role
- Define security standards, design patterns, provide design input into domains and ensure security controls are considered at design stage as well as reviewing the implementation of security controls throughout the course of a project and/or program life
- Influence strategic decision making and set the future-state security architecture along with the enterprise architecture
- Actively engage in security & identity stream projects to provide security architecture leadership, consultancy, lead projects in line with the blueprint and enterprise architecture strategy and lead the production of high-level solutions across multiple domains
- Identify priorities, technical objections, and design strategies encompassing security for the company ecosystem to deliver business value and resolve blockers
- Create an environment where agility and continuous improvement is built into work practices and actively champion agile practices, supported by effective governance
- Partner with technology domains and business leads to support portfolio assessment, prioritisation, and planning
- Analyse the business-IT environment (run, grow and transform the business) to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical debt, and recommends solutions for improvement (systems of record, differentiation and innovation)
- Create reference security architectures focused on detailed design principles, decision points, detailed APIs, major systems and dependencies between business and IT
About you:
- Significant experience in a Security Architecture role including digital environments
- Good understanding of security standards and knowledge of risk management guidelines and frameworks
- Practical experience with security technologies such as firewalls, web and mail gateway filtering, AV, IDS/IPS, WAF, SIEM, FIM, IDAM, security monitoring, threat intelligence and security analytics
- Appreciation of the need for governance in a heavily regulated environment
- Demonstrable experience of risk assessment, security best practice and practical application of security controls in an enterprise environment
