Job Description
The Treasury & Investments Analyst is a key role in the business providing support with the company debt obligations and analysis on new strategic activities and business plans such as mergers, acquisitions, and other growth opportunities. A key deliverable is ensuring the company is 100% compliant with debt facility requirements and the preparation of investment analysis on growth and other opportunities.
The role involves engaging with all key stakeholders within the business and externally to ensure we are always putting our customers' needs at the front of everything we do. The Treasury & Investments Analyst will have the opportunity to apply strategic and critical thinking to drive growth and profitability across the business.
This role is a part of the company Finance, Legal & Risk team which supports through all aspects of finance partnering, group finance; legal advice, assessments and contracts; risk, assurance and governance. This highly skilled team provides expert support and guidance through flexibility and cadence.Treasury
* Work with the Head of Treasury and Financial Planning with strategies and reporting mechanisms to successfully manage and control debt and overall the client liquidity needs
* Support the development of new investments, products and services ensuring appropriate levels of funding are available to support continued scaling and growth of the client.
* Assist the Head of Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis with client's liquidity management.
* Ensure proactive monitoring, reporting and escalation of financial risks with recommendations to address.
* Provide input into commercial analysis to support new investments, cash/bonds investments and interest rate management.
* Forecasting of medium and long- term funding, funding costs, and hedging requirements.
* Support the Head of Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis in managing foreign exchange exposures and risk mitigation strategies.
* Assist in the preparation of management and board reports.
* Supporting month end processes where necessary; debt drawdowns.
* Ad hoc reporting as required from time to time.Board Reporting & Business Growth * Producing and continuously improving the monthly Board reporting pack having scope through the analysis & commentary to provide insights, heighten understanding and add value for the Board.
* Preparing business insights, analytical commentary, detailing trends and answering director queries for the monthly Board pack.
* Processing improvements and answering director queries and as far as possible anticipate the analysis required by stakeholders (senior management and Board) to drive improvements in information provided.
* Assist the Head of Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis in providing development appraisals, forecast and other ad hoc board reports.
* Analyse the impact of investment opportunities on client's valuation, funding requirements etc
* Assistance with modelling, information requests and reporting for any transactions, re-financing and valuations.
* Assist the Head of Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis in the preparation of up to date forecasts and supporting information and analysis for external valuers for the routine valuation of client's equity, management incentive schemes and investment properties.
* Respond to questions from financial partners, shareholders, investment analysts, financial institutions, potential investors, executives, auditors, public officials, etc in a timely manner.
* Proactively prepare analyses, reports and presentations for various stakeholder requirements
The Successful Applicant
* Experience working in professional services, banking, or a similar corporate finance role with financial modelling, valuations, economics background
* Demonstrated ability of being proactive and able to work independently and in a small-medium team working to clear deadlines and under pressure.
* High level of organisational and planning skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines.
* Highly motivated with a proven record of successful achievement. This includes the ability to achieve specific goals, objectives, and deadlines within the limits of the resources available.
* Experience with advanced Excel functionality particularly skills associated to investment management principles (IRR's, NPV, etc.), cash flow, model architecture and scenario analysis. Attention to detail is paramount along with consistency and logical thinking.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills - Able to communicate key messages in a clear, structured, impactful way that supports business decision making.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance - Economics background desirable
