About the Role

Here it is, the opportunity you have been waiting for. A great part time role within a great team with family friendly hours. Saturday work may be required to ensure all tasks are completed.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our small Finance Team as an Assistant Accountant. The ideal candidate must be capable of working across all aspects of the finance function. You will report to, and operate, under the leadership of the Finance Manager. You will be responsible for combining your technical knowledge and organisational skills to provide support to the Finance Manager and the broader business.

The successful candidate will:Be seeking a role that enables them to work in a dynamic and highly rewarding environment;Have a minimum of 5 years experience in analytical reporting and financial reconciliations for a $5m+ turnover commercial business;Have a demonstrated track record with month end processes, preparation of monthly management accounts and statutory reporting requirements;Have the drive to review, audit and improve internal processes;Possess a sound knowledge of all aspects of the accounting function;Have proven experience in managing the payroll function for 50+ employees;Have the ability to maintain high accuracy and thoroughness when executing tasks;Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines;Possess a tertiary education through university with recognised accounting qualifications;Preferably be further qualified, or working towards, CPA or equivalent qualifications;Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
