ABOUT THE ROLE
Inspired by the highest ideals of collaboration, cooperation, integrity and teamwork, a sports coach is an integral member of the Knox Sports and Aquatic Academy (KSAA). The role of Water Polo Coach is to create an engaging, positive and progressive water polo program and learning environment.
The Water Polo Coach will work with the Director of Water Polo and Head Coach of Water Polo to ensure the development of the Water Polo program.
This position will implement an age appropriate program focused on skill and technique progression and develop pathways for students in all areas of water polo.
The Water Polo Coach is appointed on a casual basis, with hours spread across weekdays and Saturday's as required and with hours of work fluctuating between school term-time and non-term time.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSLevel 1 Water Polo Coaching AccreditationProvide First Aid Certificate (or higher) and current CPR CertificateExperience in managing teams within the school environment including high performance and participation based teamsExperience working with a wide range of students across varying age groups and skill levelWell-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on building and maintaining quality relationships with all members of the Schools community and the wider water polo community.Flexibility and the ability to adapt and operate effectively in a demanding and changing environment.Valid drivers license and ability to travel independently between sites.Current NSW Working With Children Check NumberWater Polo Referee Accreditation (desirable)RLS Pool Lifeguard Certificate (desirable)Relevant Tertiary Qualification (desirable)
