Role Location: Melbourne
Role Type: Fixed-term (12 months, parental leave cover); full-time
As a T&C Business Partner you will collaborate with leaders in the business and the broader T&C community to shape and implement impactful people solutions to support the achievement of the Business Strategy. This includes meeting regulatory requirements and managing operational risk for key T&C activities as they are delivered in your area.
You will develop a deep understanding of business priorities, the needs of our workforce and the internal and external environment in order to shape and the solutions we provide to the business and our people. You will coach and advise leaders in the business to help improve their own performance and effectiveness, and that of their people.
You are someone who builds strong, trusted relationships, can manage diverse stakeholders, and can thrive amidst complexity and ambiguity. You collaborate well with others and play a key role in coaching, advising and challenging business leaders, and as guardian of ANZ's culture and values. You embrace change and are able to join the dots' across different moving parts, whilst maintaining a strong focus on value delivery. What will your day look like
Your key priorities and responsibilities will include:
Identifying and driving strategic solutions:
Partner with business stakeholders to identify and develop the key people initiatives to deliver on business strategy and end-user needs Define and support People interventions in collaboration with other T&C colleagues, to drive short and long-term performance, including effective organisational design, talent and succession management, transformation, retention, engagement, change management, reward and recognition, and leadership coaching and development Be the voice of the businesses' and customer and play a coaching and listening role with other colleagues to help align solutions and business needs Represent T&C at relevant steering committees and deliver T&C aspects of top priority projects Ensure core T&C policies, processes and practices are clearly communicated and consistently applied throughout the business Challenge the business to think outside the box - push the boundaries of thinking and people solutions and coach leaders to do the same in service of our customer vision
Managing key relationships:
Coach senior leaders and key SMEs in the business to help them with their key business, people leadership, stakeholder, and career development priorities Provide strategic advice and courageously challenge the status quo in service of overall business and end user needs (i.e. Partnering and Advising' over order taking and execution') Use data and insights from end users and across the business to proactively recommend people solutions and provide strategic support to leaders on processes that will help them improve business performance Collaborate with other T&C colleagues, playing a role in evolving the culture and ways of working of our function, in service of our collective goals
Workforce capability champions:
Use data and insights to understand trends in the workforce pertaining to attraction, engagement, and retention of the workforce in your business and working with relevant stakeholders to address any gaps or risks Work with the business to ensure plans are in place to close gaps in or leverage opportunities for workforce capability Partner with key stakeholders to help define and prioritise strategic people plans, including capability building, re-skilling and transition What will you bring?
Business Partner or similar experience in a large scale, complex, matrix environment Experience in shaping and executing on critical people elements' of a change agenda Strong commercial acumen and customer/employee focus Strong, proven skills in collaboration and influencing at senior management and being a trusted advisor to BU heads Skilled and effective change agent, collaborator, and communicator Proven experience in collaborating with other experts to deliver business outcomes Financial or adjacent sector experience preferred
Competencies:
