Seeking addition to a small finance team for a high growth national franchisor. The role requires the successful applicant to be present in the New Farm office 5 days per week (standard office hours).
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The first 6 months will focus on understanding the individual components of the department so that they have an intimate understanding of each process.Assist with Weekly KPI reportingAssist with analysis & insights into concerning trends, deviation from site targets & potential fraud transactionsAssist with month end closing & reportingAssist with reporting of consolidated balance sheets & cashflow movementsAssist with AP & AR processesIAS, BAS, super & payroll tax preparation Responding to enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders and ad-hoc duties as requiredAssist with network benchmarking & analysis of site performancesProvide support to & act as a backup for corporate payroll processingInterrelated entity account management Other ad-hoc admin & finance activities as directed
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS0-2 years accounting experience Bachelor of Business in Accountancy (or in final semester of) essentialRegistered for or undertaking either CPA or CA essentialExperience in Xero essentialKnowledge of Australian payroll laws and TANDA idealKnowledge of all state and federal statutory requirementsRelevant tertiary qualifications requiredAdvanced Excel skills

As growth plans are executed additional support roles will be added to the team & this role will move more towards a management accountant role with limited involvement in data processing.
