About the Role

Working within our Network Operations Centre, reporting directly into the NOC Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and delivery of the network infrastructure across the company's suite of digital assets.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Brisbane with an on-site working arrangement. Candidates must be available to work on a 24/7 shift rotation.

Candidates must hold current Australian citizenship status to meet governmental criteria for NV1 Baseline Clearance, which is essential for this role.

Key Duties & Deliverables

...

- Monitor all critical infrastructure and digital assets across the Group, including fibre, transmission, switch/ routing assets and inventory spares.
- Investigate network alerts, hardware malfunction and any outages planning and unplanned, and complete post incident reports for external stakeholder and Group Executives.
- Provide accurate communication and recovery actions and progress updates to Customers and Internal Leadership teams.
- Undertake investigation with a forensic approach to event monitoring and incident management.
- Oversee and configure our suite of telecommunications networks and computer systems.
- Lead incident recovery actions whilst maintaining performance to service levels.
- Manage and/or support Network change activities ensuring network integrity remains intact post change completion.
- Proactively identify potential network performance issues developing strategies to rectify issues before they become events and incidents.
- Maintain existing documentation, fault management, and change management standards.
- Create reports and provide commentary or operational progress/ reports for staffing, network performance, PIRs and departmental objectives.

About you

- Extensive knowledge of a telecoms operational environment, with a general understanding of IT, internet, router, switches, and optical transmission systems
- Ability to manage the resolution of incidents across the full range of supported services, specialising in IP and transmission technologies
- Experience in root cause analysis and developing corrective actions to support continuous improvement of initiatives, process and work instructions
- Committed to and skilled at delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Understanding and knowledge of security operations and process
- Ability to work across various network hardware systems including Cisco, Ciena, Nokia, and packet optical/DWDM systems.
- Advanced knowledge of network deployment and infrastructure, with excellent troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in the use of design programs (GIS and CAD-based and web-based site investigation tools are desirable).
