The Opportunity
A fast paced role, communicating with a wide range of management and staff on a daily basis, your key responsibilities include the following:
- Managing a twice weekly payroll for approximately across 1200 employees
- Processing starters, leavers and adjustments
- Calculating and maintaining leave balances
- Completing legislative requirements including PAYG, Superannuation and WorkCover
- Interpreting and applying awards and contracts
- Preparing detailed payroll records, reports and documents for Finance and Operations
- Completing month-end processes
- Responding to payroll related inquiries in a timely manner
- Supporting management with process improvement initiatives
About You
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll as well as:
- Experience processing high volume payroll for more than 1200+ staff
- Excellent communication skills at all levels in the business
- Experience in high volume data entry and employee queries
- Strong customer service skills
- Sound payroll knowledge
- Experience in award interpretation
- Ability to multitask
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Fast Track and MicroPay experience advantageous
