Randstad Education is currently working with an exceptional independent schools in Sydney's upper North Shore. We are seeking an English teacher to join the faculty permanently. About Your New Role:
- Teaching Years 7-12 English
- Providing an exemplary in-class experience for students.
- Utilising modern pedagogical approaches to deliver differentiated learning to students at all levels.
- Engaging with parents and pastoral team to ensure individual student needs are catered for.
What you will need to be successful:
Our client is excited to have you join the team. To be successful in your new role, you will be a highly skilled and experienced teacher, dedicated to crafting engaging learning experiences which allow students to express their critical thinking and enhance their problem solving capabilities. As an effective classroom practitioner, your knowledge, skills and passion for English will inspire students to engage themselves deeply within this subject. You will need:
- Australian Citizen or Resident with valid work rights
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
- Tertiary teaching qualification
- NESA registration or ability to obtain prior to commencement
- Provide a minimum of two professional references (Principal and HOD preferred)
Skills & Experience:
- High pedagogical standards
- Effectively perform educational responsibilities, including (but not exclusive to) lesson planning and the writing of assessment and units of work as delegated
- Possess strong communication skills
- Excellent technological literacy
- Ensure a safe and supportive classroom environment for all students
- Have classroom supervision and behaviour management skills
- Be able to produce student assessments and tracking academic progress
- To manage administrative requirements including report writing, parent teacher meetings and marking
- Remain up to date with teaching standards and pedagogical practices by actively participating in a range of professional development
