A great opportunity to be part of the team that are driving the changing energy landscape in Australia. A game changer you will be paving the way forward as Construction Project Manager, responsible for constructing and commissioning Australias most ambitious commercial scale, multi-fuel, green hydrogen focused, public refuelling station in Geelong.
You will have the following deliverables and accountabilities in this role;Construct and commission Geelong Hydrogen project with zero LTIs and process safety incidentsResponsible for all aspects to deliver Geelong H2 project to safety, schedule and assigned budget targets, including but not limited to owning the Construction Safety Management Plan, relevant approvals, certifications, involvement in contracting and procurement activities, and HV connectionsEnsure compliance to all ARENA and DELWP grant funding reporting requirementsOnsite safety presence including attendance at toolboxes, decision maker on safety considerations for construction activity, across all permit requirements etc. Problem solve construction and commissioning issues as they arise, manage key holdpoints and complete construction walkdowns and punchlistingRecognise schedule critical paths and use sound judgement to take decisions and actions to ensure risks are mitigated and communicated through reporting lineEnsure contractors adhere to contracts as issued, and any variations, adherence to schedule and payments are managed, and overall project budget maintained.Use or develop appropriate systems to identify and manage quality assurance requirements (eg field site inspections), and also manage engineering changes and vendor integration.Manages all completion documentation including all checklists and transition back to the business for normal operations
Skills and Experience
Your skill and experiences will be; Engineering or trade backgroundRecent experience in all aspects of field safety, including writing and review of construction safety management plans, JHAs, SWMS, permit to work processes etc.Recent previous construction project management experience essential in delivering brownfields project of at least $20mExperience in managing multi-disciplined teams on challenging schedules and technical commissioningProblem solver and action oriented, able to troubleshoot schedule, budget and onsite technical issues as they ariseManage multiple multi-discipline teams of trades, engineers and operations to communicate and work togetherChange agility to pivot project delivery pathway quickly and decisivelyProvide calm and steady leadership to the broader teamStructure and implement project delivery processes as required
