About the Role
We are looking to fill in Application Support Analyst role to join the Application Support team on a permanent Full-time basis. These roles are based in our Sydney office.
Main responsibilities are, but not limited to:Resolve IT application-related incidents, service requests and problems in a timely and efficient manner in line with Business requirements.Employ appropriate application maintenance, support and incident management processes and procedures to support and maintain IT applications, and to investigate and resolve IT application-related incidentsAs required, provide timely communication to business users on the status of their service requests and incidents. As necessary, liaise with external partners to ensure IT application-related incidents and problems are resolved in a timely and professional manner. Ensure problem prevention methods are continually applied to improve service levels. Undertake IT application-related problem diagnosis, implementing problem resolution or prevention measures as appropriate. Monitor the availability, performance and throughput of supported IT applications. Prioritize and schedule assigned support activities and tasks. Working as Service Owner Coordinator for various shipping Modules during the Sydney Service Desk support times.Performing handovers and follow-ups for High/ Urgent incidents on daily basis to our headquarter IT Team in Hamburg (German).Regular Monitoring of EDI Interfaces between various internal application.On required basis developing SQL Queries to generate ad hoc reports from In-House Application system.Supporting Requirements Engineers to fulfill new local regional business requirements.Knowledge sharing by participating regular conference calls with other Global Application teamsDuring Major incidents providing different level of support to Service Desk team within APAC.
Essential Skills, Experience, Education:Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering/ Science, Information Sciences or its equivalent.At least 2 -3 years proven experience working as an application support in Microsoft/Linux/SQL/ORACLE environment.Oracle SQL Scripting Skills in essential.Experience in Oracle and XML language.Experience and Knowledge of Entity Relationships (ER Diagram) and Data Models.Excellent understanding and experience in working with ITIL service management processes. High level of problem-solving skills to handle complex software and interface support issues.Effective oral and written communications skills.Willingness to accept responsibility and be accountable for service provided.Analytical and Systematic approach to work.Ability to work effectively in a team.Open to new ideas and change initiatives, with an ability to modify the current approach in the face of new demands.
Desired Skills:Experience in Scripting in JAVA languageExperience in KIBANA, TABLEAUExperience with Monitoring Tools like Grafana, Instana.Experience in working on any ERP System. Knowledge of EDIFACT Messages will be advantageous Knowledge in Monitoring full integrated Software Systems a plus Knowledge of Marine shipping industry a plus
