In our state-of-the-art Melbourne support office (Mulgrave) and reporting to the National Remuneration & Benefits Manager the Payroll Officer will provide support to the Payroll Manager for all Company related payroll issues, ensuring all schedules, processing timeframes/dates etc., are met in accordance with the payroll calendar.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include: To provide autonomous support to the National Payroll & Benefits Manager for all Company related payroll issues. To provide accurate and efficient payroll processing services in line with schedules, reporting systems and statutory requirements. Review, suggest and support systems changes and updates including payroll procedures and processes to support business needs. Provide support to Finance & HR teams including input, managing and monitoring accuracy of Payroll / HRIS data. Resolve non-standard payroll calculations and discrepancies specific to specialisation (e.g. Award/EBA specific, Legislation). Performance Objectives: 99.9% accuracy of all payroll processing Meet all schedules, processing timeframes/dates, etc in accordance with the payroll calendar. Support Payroll function in a cost effective, efficient and customer focussed manner Respond to customers enquiries within 24-hour timeframe 100% compliance of statutory reporting and payments
To be considered for this role you will have / be: Minimum of 2-3 years experience in processing end to end payrolls - Essential Experienced skills in using a Payroll solution such as SAP, Chris21, ADP or other payroll software packages Essential Experience in a high volume weekly/fortnightly payroll Experience in financial analysis/payroll data Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills and the ability to influence Problem solving payroll queries and faults across all levels of employees Previous work experience in a similar industrial environment Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills
