About the roleYou will be joining a core team of special ops iOS and Android developers, and work very closely with our CEO and Lead Developer.We have built a new social media platform that will launch mid-year and you will be responsible for polishing the existing design on both iOS and Android, including the creation of interface and accessibility themes.We encourage creative and practical design that is clean, simple and straightforward. If you subscribe to Apple's design philosophy, you will fit right in.
ResponsibilitiesCreate and manage Adobe XD designs, assets and libraries.Polishing the existing design on both iOS and Android.Create a small number of in-app animations.Create interface and accessibility themes.Create app explainer videos.Design website, promotional and other marketing materials.UX design for platforms that include tablets, watches, desktops, TVs and motor vehicles.Work closely with our CEO, Lead Developer and Marketing Coordinator.
What we are looking forSignificant experience working across multiple design projects with a proven track record for delivering commercially successful products to market.Significant experience in using a range of visual design, interaction design, UX design, design research and testing, information architecture, content or design strategy for both mobile and desktop platforms.Strong technical skills using Adobe Creative Cloud including Adobe XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop.Experience creating animations using tools such as Adobe After Effects or similar.Ability to translate functional concepts into user stories and product flows.Ability to create and maintain a company and product design language.Strong customer empathy to build a world-class user experience.Be highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership to deliver designs and solutions on-time.Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Bonus points awarded if you've worked in a rapidly growing company where time is of the essence.
This role is based in Melbourne, Australia and the option to work from home is currently a feature of the position. A high-end laptop, dual 43" monitors and any other necessary equipment will be supplied.
The option to work onsite from Southbank opposite the Flinders Street Railway Station will be available.
Working onsite a minimum of 1 day per week may be required.
RemunerationUp to 50k Starting Bonus, 6-12mth Bonus125k - 175k Base + Bonuses (175k - 250k+)
(well over 250k at the higher end inc bonuses and benefits)
