Are you a highly experienced and dynamic Board Secretary with exceptional knowledge in Governing Board operations who can hit the ground running?
Accountable to the General Counsel/Corporate Secretary, you will be responsible for the leadership and management of the departments Board Secretariat and Government Relations function within the Office of the Chief Executive Officer (OCEO).
This is a pivotal role within the OCEO and works within a very complex environment providing professional, informed secretariat and governance leadership and support to the Governing Board and six Committees of the Board.
Key Responsibilities include:
- The successful delivery of all Board activities and facilitating the governance, conduct, management, and control of the Board.
- Managing the Board legislative and governance obligations and responsibilities of the Board.
- Leadership of the Ministerial correspondence and briefing function within the Office of the CEO.
- Management and delivery of all Parliament and Cabinet requirements and obligations including liaising with senior ministerial staff to deliver requirements.
- Undertake complex data analysis and research activities as directed by the CEO.
- Prepare high level executive correspondence and synthesis of strategic information to the CEO, such as reports, presentations, briefings and research papers.
Ideally you will possess:
- Proven background in a similar role with a high level of secretariat and governance experience (essential)
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written and an ability to prepare correspondence, reports and briefings of the highest quality.
- An ability to exercise a professional approach and judgement together with a high level of confidentiality.
